New paper from our lab on Mnk kinases and Syngap1 in Brain journal
Chalkiadaki et al. describe a novel link between Mnk1/2 kinases and the autism risk gene SYNGAP1.
Using mouse models, synaptic ribosome profiling and phosphoproteomics we further characterise the Mnk1/2 translatome and phosphoproteome. Importantly, Mnk1 inhibitors emerge as a potential novel therapeutic avenue for Syngap1 happloinsufficiency.
